TaylorMade takes ball speed and distance to the limit with the all-new TaylorMade M6 Driver!
Key Features
- Twist Face
- Speed Injected Face
- Hammerhead 2.0 Slot
Utilizing a familiar driver design, TaylorMade engineered the M6 to push the limits on what a driver can do. Like past M series drivers, the M6 driver features the patented Twist Face that helps reduce sidespin on mishit shots. This is great news for all golfers since an increase in overall accuracy is always a welcome benefit.
This year’s new addition is called a Speed Injected Face, where a special resin is placed just behind the face of the club to maximize ball speed. The Speed Injected Face is so successful with increasing ball speed, that it toes the line with the legal limit set by the USGA. Another speed-focused feature is a large Hammerhead 2.0 slot found just behind the face of the club.
With two premium shafts and four flex types to choose from, golfers will be able to find a configuration that fits their personal game. A 9, 10.5, and 12-degree head option is available with the ability to change the loft and lie with a simple wrench system.
✅ Pros
- Generous Sweet Spot
- Very Forgiving
- Great Distance
🚫 Cons
- Expensive
Yes the TaylorMade M6 driver is expensive, but it is truly one of the longest and most forgiving drivers ever made by TaylorMade.
2. TaylorMade M4 Driver
TaylorMade M4
Features
- New face curvature w/corrective face angle on off center hits, to reduce side spin & deliver straighter shots; Provides more loft in high toe & less loft in low heel for more consistent spin
- Hammerhead Slot: The Reinforced Outer Portions of the Slot Allow for a Lighter, More Flexible Face, Resulting in a Larger Sweet Spot
- The center portion of the slot increases ball speed low on the face and drops unwanted spin for more distance
- GEOCOUSTIC: Shaped for a solid and explosive sound; Reduced sole volume enables a larger, more forgiving face
At just one year old, the TaylorMade M4 Driver is still a fantastic driver and with a slightly lowered price, it presents a great value.
Key Features
- Twist Face
- Geocoustic
- Hammerhead Slot
As the predecessor to the all-new M6, the TaylorMade M4 driver has many of the features that are now featured on the M6. First and most importantly is Twist Face technology that helps keep mishits on line and with increased ball speed. A great feature for mid to high handicappers looking to get more balls in the fairway.
The first generation Hammerhead Slot is also present on the sole of the M4 and is much smaller than the Hammerhead 2.0 Slot on the M6. This doesn’t change too much, just that golfers may not see as much of a swing speed difference with the M4. A Geocoustic head design is meant to produce a confidence-inspiring sound.
Many options are available when it comes to configurations of the M4 Driver, but some options are no longer offered in new condition. Many of the most popular configurations like regular, stiff, and extra stiff flex shafts as well as 10.5 and 9.5-degree drivers are still in stock.

✅ Pros
- Increased Swing Speed
- Very Forgiving

- Speed Injected: Every Head Is Individually Speed Tested and Injected With Tuning Resin to Optimize Cor Across the Entire Face; the Speed Injection Process Is Designed to Maximize Ball Speed and Distance in the M6 Driver
- Twist Face: Revolutionary New Face Curvature With a Corrective Face Angle On Off Center Hits, Engineered to Reduce Side Spin and Deliver Straighter Shots

- HAMMERHEAD 2. 0: The new, more flexible Hammerhead slot works in conjunction with Speed Injected Twist Face to produce a larger sweet spot and preserve ball speed on off-center strikes
Made to be a more customizable driver than the M6, the TaylorMade M5 has everything advanced players need to outplay the competition.
Key Features
- Twist Face
- Speed Injected Face
- Inverse T-Track
Design-wise, the M6 and M5 are almost identical. The only real difference is the inclusion of an Inverse T-Track system that is found on the sole of the clubhead. Golfers can use the Inverse T-Track system to dial in spin and launch angles with small moveable weights. Perfect for those who like to work the ball from side to side.
Just like the M6, the TaylorMade M5 comes with Twist Face and Speed Injected Resin. So M5 users will also get to experience the impressive ball speed and distance. This new technology is really some of the best technology that drivers now have.
Many more high-end options are available with the M5 compared to the M6. Things like HZARDUS shafts and X-Stiff flexes are just some of the options that golfers have. The M5 is truly a player’s driver.
✅ Pros
- Great Distance
- Forgiving
- Excellent Adjustability
🚫 Cons
- Expensive
- For More Advanced Players
For those that want to have more control and workability in their drives, the TaylorMade M5 is an excellent choice.
4. TaylorMade Men’s RBZ Black Driver
Features
- A large, 460cc Titanium head with an adjustable loft sleeve allows for optimized launch and trajectory
- Ultralite Titanium core strategically positions mass for higher launch and trajectory control
- Premium matrix White tie 55 shaft for maximum distance and smooth feel
- Legendary speed pocket performance for high launch and low spin, resulting in more distance
- New satin black finish with elegant detailing to improve alignment
Go back to the basics with a simple-looking and high-performing driver from TaylorMade called the RBZ Black Driver.
Key Features
- Ultralite Titanium Core
- Speed Pocket
- Adjustable Loft Sleeve
While the newest and best drivers boast of great performance, sometimes it is just better to go with the basics. The TaylorMade RBZ Black Driver is a slightly more basic driver that still has everything needed to get the ball flying farther and more accurately than before. An Ultralite Titanium Core that strategically positions weight is the key to creating longer carry.
Other features such as a deep and wide Speed Pocket allow for more clubhead speed. This particular style of Speed Pocket mimics some of the characteristics of TaylorMade’s newest speed pocket called the Hammerhead Slot. An adjustable loft sleeve will allow golfers to increase or reduce the loft of the RBZ Black Driver by up to 1.5-degrees.
One area where the RBZ Black Driver lacks is in the customizable section with fewer options available than newer TaylorMade Drivers. Each driver does come with an ultra-lightweight Matrix 55-gram shaft that can come in either regular, stiff, or senior flex. Three different head lofts are also available and cover a range from 9.5 to 12.5 degrees.
Check out our full review of the RBZ driver here.
✅ Pros
- Great Distance
- Very Lightweight
- Clean & Crisp Sound
- Great Value
🚫 Cons
- None
At just under $200, the TaylorMade RBZ Black Driver is an excellent driver that can still perform similarly to some of the newest driver offerings by top manufacturers.
5. TaylorMade Men’s AeroBurner
TaylorMade Men's AeroBurner
Features
- Advanced 460cc aerodynamic shape designed with a rounder toe raised center crown reduced drop from crown to skirt and new hosel
- New Speed Pocket increases size of the sweet spot and reduces spin
- New matte white finish on head and black PVD face and linear AeroBurner crown graphic make alignment easy
- Built with new lightweight Matrix Speed RUL Z 50 shaft and TM Speed Grip
One of TaylorMade’s longer-running series of drivers, the AeroBurner Driver has been helping golfers get better distance and accuracy off the tee for years!
Key Features
- Aerodynamic Head Design
- Speed Pocket
- Lightweight Premium Shaft
There are no real frills with AeroBurner Driver but that doesn’t mean it isn’t a great driver. With a new Aerodynamic Head Design, the AeroBurner is extremely forgiving and while it may not hit it any farther than many modern drivers, it will make sure you are in the fairway.
Also, if you have a hard time generating a lot of swing speed, the AeroBurner can help increase both your swing speed and ball speed. With a large Speed Pocket on the sole of the club, golfers will be able to get the AeroBurner through impact with more energy and speed. Another speed inducing feature is a lightweight premium shaft that makes it super easy to swing the AeroBurner.
One feature that the AeroBurner does lack is the ability to adjust either the loft or openness of the face. While this isn’t necessarily a bad thing, it does make it hard to fix slight slices or hooks with just a small adjustment to the head. The lack of adjustability compounds due to only three flexes and three lofts being available when ordering.
✅ Pros
- Good Distance
- Very Lightweight
- Top Of The Line Forgiveness
🚫 Cons
- Little Adjustability
- Scratches Easily
While you might forfeit some extra distance and adjustability, the forgiveness of the TaylorMade AeroBurner is truly excellent.
6. TaylorMade Women’s RBZ Driver
Our first TaylorMade Women’s driver, the Women’s Rocketballz Driver, has everything ladies need to hit picture-perfect drives.
Key Features
- Ultralite Titanium Core
- Speed Pocket
- Adjustable Loft Sleeve
The styling of the women’s Rocketballz Driver is the exact same as its men’s counterpart, the RBZ Black. And while the looks are identical, there are some changes tailored directly to female golfers. First, is the Ultralite Titanium Core that works a little differently than it does in the RBZ Black in that it places the weight in areas that achieve higher launch.
Other features include the all-important speed pocket and adjustable loft sleeve. Interestingly, the same shaft that comes in the RBZ Black is also included in the Women’s Rocketballz driver. This just means that the driver may be slightly heavier than if it had a lighter women’s specific shaft. The shaft does come in a women’s flex.
Again, the only adjustability comes from the adjustable loft sleeve which allows the head’s loft to be adjusted slightly. Despite the lackluster adjustability, the driver does carry relatively far and helps with distance.
✅ Pros
- Great Distance
- Very Lightweight
- Clean & Crisp Sound
- Great Value
🚫 Cons
- None
Just like the men’s RBZ Driver, the TaylorMade Women’s Rocketballz Driver is a great value and can really help you take your game to the next level.

Key Features
- Twist Face Technology
- Speed Pocket
- 275cc Head Size

In steps the TaylorMade Orginal One Mini that has all the feature of a traditional driver, but with the accuracy of a fairway wood.
Like TaylorMade other drivers, the Original One Mini comes with Twist Face Technology. This should makes it one of the most accurate mini drivers available. A speed pocket also comes standard but is much smaller than the ones found on larger sized drivers liked the M series.
Adjustability and customizability are pretty good, with golfers being able to choose between regular and stiff flex and a driver loft of 11.5 or 13.5 degrees. The loft can be further increased or decreased by using the loft adjustment sleeve on the hosel.

Popular as a set, the Kalea line of clubs is all about one thing; speed. By utilizing lightweight materials expert craftsmanship, the Kalea makes it easy to hit each drive a mile. One key to this extra long-hitting ability is the optimized weighting that promotes a high launch angle and huge amounts of carry.
As a way to increase swing speed, TaylorMade includes a deep Speed Pocket on the sole of the club just behind the face. The Speed Pocket isn’t the deepest, but it does get the job done without any problems. A custom Ultralite graphite shaft is included and is a great addition to the club.
This club comes with little to no adjustability but should work for the majority of female golfers. One little drawback for the Kalea Driver is that the white paint on the crown of the club tends to chip very easily. So caution against dropping or scratching the clubhead is recommended.
✅ Pros
- Very Light
- Great Distance
- Quite Forgiving
🚫 Cons
- Paint Chips Easily
Many lady golfers have been using and loving the TaylorMade Kalea Ultralite and now it’s your turn to get in on the action!

Key Features
- Front Track System
- Inverted Cone Technology
- Premium Third-Party Shaft
Engineer’s at TaylorMade created the R15 with the unique design that incorporated the Front Track System. The primary reason for the Front Track System was to all for spin adjustability with the use of two free moving weights. This really helps golfers either make the head very stable or change the club to induce a small fade or draw.
The second reason for the Front Track System is that it functioned as a Speed Pocket. By having two features in one area makes it easy for golfers to adjust the club to their own particular taste. Another nice touch is including a third party premium shaft like the Fujikura Speeder 57.
Now that the R15 Driver is no longer in production, it can be hard to find a lot of different configuration options. Many popular flexes and lofts are still available. And with an adjustable hosel, you will be able to adjust the loft +/- 4-degrees.

Very few options still exist for the Rocketballz Stage 2 driver with most configurations being sold out. It is doubtful that more options will become available since the Rocketballs Stage 2 is somewhat out of production.
